Description	:	Mrs. Frank Schlichtemeier was born September 29, 1845 at Hanover, Germany, where she was baptized and confirmed. She came to this country in 1867 and landed at Nebraska City, where she was married the 11th of September 1867 to Mr. Frank Schlichtemeier, services being conducted by Rev. Huber of the Lutheran church and who resided on a homestead near Kramer for 40 years. In 1907 they moved to Kramer. Her husband preceded her in death five years ago. Mrs. Schlichtemeier lived in Kramer 14 years, dying November 1, 1921 after a few days of illness with pneumonia. A true, pure,... Read More	Mrs. Frank Schlichtemeier was born September 29, 1845 at Hanover, Germany, where she was baptized and confirmed. She came to this country in 1867 and landed at Nebraska City, where she was married the 11th of September 1867 to Mr. Frank Schlichtemeier, services being conducted by Rev. Huber of the Lutheran church and who resided on a homestead near Kramer for 40 years. In 1907 they moved to Kramer. Her husband preceded her in death five years ago. Mrs. Schlichtemeier lived in Kramer 14 years, dying November 1, 1921 after a few days of illness with pneumonia. A true, pure, unselfish and benevolent mother has gone to her eternal reward. She was beloved by all who knew her for to know her was to love her. To this union were born eight children, one dying in infancy, and a son Fred, dying three years ago. Mrs. Schlichtemeier is survived by three daughters and three sons, Mr. Will Schlichtemeier living near Crete, Mr. Henry Schlichtemeier, living at Highland Center, Frank Schlichtemeier, living one-half mile east of Kramer, and Mrs. Mary Bilhorn of Crete, Mrs. Anna Steuer, living two miles southeast of Kramer, Mrs. Katie Kattau, living two and one-half miles east of Kramer, 30 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. The funeral services were held from her late home and the Lutheran church conducted by the paster Rev. A. Cholcher assisted by the church choir. She was carried to her resting place at the Lutheran cemetery by the following pallbearers: Herman Freeze, Henry Mundt, Fred Dietrich, Henry Kistinger, Will Heitman, and Henry Kattau. Mr. and Mrs. Zabel of Kansas, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Oestman and son, Mrs. Minnie Troegel of Johnson, Nebraska, and Frank Schlichtemeier of Nehawka, Nebraska, came to the burial of their aunt.
