Kathryn married Wayne Miller in Sioux Falls on May 18, 1940. She received her BA at Augustana College and Masters in Education at the University of South Dakota. Kathryn taught in Parker, Washington High School and Lincoln High School in the English Department and later was a Guidance Counselor. She was a member of the Soroptimist International Club, a member of Calvary Episcopal Cathedral Church, South Dakota Retired Teachers Association, Sioux Falls Investment Club, and St. Elizabeth Guild. Kathryn married Louis Beier September 4, 1982. kathryns parents, husbands Wayne Miller and Louis Beier, as well as two siblings, brother Dr. Carlos Kemper of Viborg, SD and sister Ardys Davidson of Bristol, SD preceded her in death.
