She attended Mayflower District 68 and Lutheran Parochial schools in Holstein. On Jan 24, 1946, she married Donald Thoesen at the church parsonage in Holstein. She and her husband owned and operated the Sugar Loaf Antiques in Holstein. In November 1994, they moved to Minden. She was a member of the St Paul Lutheran Church in Minden. Survivors are her husband; one daughter, Judy Jacobs of Hastings, two sons, Donald R of Hastings and Robert of Holdrege; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother.
