Read More	Kathryn Irene Kingery, 90, of Newton died on Thursday, January 22, 2015, at Nelson Manor in Newton. Irene, the daughter of Henry W. and Mary Olive (Hughes) Hildebrand, was born on October 12, 1924 in Newton, Iowa. She graduated from Newton High School in the class of 1942. Irene was united in marriage with James Walter "Walt" Kingery on July 16, 1943 in San Francisco, California. They made their home in Newton. Irene worked at the Maytag Company during the war and then at the Newton Clinic. In addition to being a homemaker, she also worked at the Vernon Company and later at the Maytag Dairy Farm. Irene enjoyed collecting, traveling, and shopping. She was a loving and devoted wife, mom, grandma, sister, and friend. Irene is survived by her son, Dave (Pam) Kingery of Newton; three grandchildren, Jake Stoecker, Eric (Clarissa) Stoecker, and Brian (Kelly) Stoecker; her four great-grandchildren, Zoe, Merrick, Elinor, and Aisley; three sister-in-laws, Mabel Hobbs, Myrtle Schwarz, and Sandy Kingery; brother-in-law, Clifford "Buzz" (Carol) Kingery; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walt in 2008; two brothers, Dr. William Hildebrand and James Hildebrand; and four sisters, Lucille Hildebrand, Louise Hewitt, Imogene Restola, and Joann Armstrong.
