Description	:	Ipswich - The funeral service for Kathryn Wegner, 98, of Ipswich will be 10 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church in Ipswich. Rev. John Druckemiller will lead the worship service. Interment will be in the Cresbard City Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. tonight, Sunday, at Gramm-Hein Funeral Home in Ipswich. Kathryn was born Nov. 30, 1907, to John and Elizabeth (Boschee) Kiest in Goodrich, N.D. She was raised on the family farm and attended rural schools. In 1930, she married Ben Bierman. They made their home near Northville, S.D. Together, they had four children. In 1943 the family moved to a farm north of Cresbard, S.D. Kathryn married Leroy Wegner in 1962. They lived on a farm in rural Cresbard. They retired and moved to Ipswich in 1983. Leroy died in 1985 and she continued to make Ipswich her home. She moved to Beverly Healthcare in 2002 where she lived until the time of her death on Wednesday, June 21, 2006. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and the weekly card parties with her friends. Kathryn was a member of First Baptist Church in Ipswich. Thankful for having shared in her life are her two sons, Hubert Bierman of Ipswich and Darwin Bierman of Sterling, Colo.; one daughter, Isabel (Titus) Goodson of Davenport, Iowa; two sisters, Marie Wonnenberg of Chaseley, N.D., and Hilda Mantz of Lodi, Calif.; 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren. Her parents, both husbands, one son, Byron, three grandchildren and two sisters preceded her in death. Gramm-Hein Funeral Home of Ipswich is in charge of funeral arrangements.
