Description	:	Kathryn Louise Pierce, formerly of Hagerstown, 76, passed away Friday evening, October 17, 2014, at the Heritage Park Health Care Center in Ft. Wayne, IN following and extended illness. She was born in Hagerstown on June 23, 1938 the daughter of Paul Mack and Marie (Chamberlin) Bowman. Kathryn graduated from Hagerstown High School and later married the love of her life James Ronald Pierce Sr. on June 11,1960 in Hagerstown and he preceded her in death in 2010. She was born in Hagerstown on June 23, 1938 the daughter of Paul Mack and Marie (Chamberlin) Bowman. Kathryn graduated from Hagerstown High School and later married the love of her life James Ronald Pierce Sr. on June 11,1960 in Hagerstown and he preceded her in death in 2010. Mrs. Pierce had worked for the perfect Circle Corporation as a Secretary prior to serving the Nettle Creek School Corporation as a Librarian for the Hagerstown Elementary School from 1974-1989. Later she would work for the Area 9 Agency on Aging through Indiana University East in Richmond. She was a member of the singing secretaries through Perfect Circle, the Sugar Grove Community Church of Greensfork and was a homemaker in every sense of the word. Kathryn is the oldest of twelve children most of whom still reside in the Wayne County area. She is survived by one daughter, Terrie Pierce Espinosa (husband-Jonas), Ft. Wayne; two sons, James Ronald Pierce Jr. (wife-Linda), Indianapolis and Jonathan Michael Pierce, Richmond; three grandchildren, Chelsea Snider (husband-Tim), Indianapolis, Jacob and Joshua Espinosa, Ft. Wayne; several siblings, nieces and nephews. Besides her husband of James, she is also preceded in death by parents, one sister, Virginia Sue Bowman. Parson Mortuary
