Description	:	Kathryn M. Angstrom were held Saturday, Feb 16 at 11 a.m. from the Community Presbyterian Church. The Rev Malcolm McCallum officiated at the ceremony. Frank Hanson sang ‘In the Garden' and ‘How Great Thou Art' accompanied by Mrs. Geraldine Stephenson on the organ. Interment at the Wilbur Cemetery followed the service. Pallbearers were Lyle Perry, Vern Wolfrum, Les Gardner, Arthur Wagner, Herman Rux and Glenn S Porter. The Robertson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Kathryn Martha Angstrom, oldest of three children of Walter and Martha Dowen, was born in Evansville, IN , on June 15, 1908. At the age of nine the family moved to Cut Bank, Montana, where her father worked for the Great Northern Railroad. After graduation from high school she returned to Evansville where she completed beauty school and worked until her marriage in 1929. One daughter, Carolyn, was born of this union. From 1936-1961, she lived in Atlanta, Georgia and Charlotte, North Carolina and it was during this time she was active as a troop leader with the Girl Scouts as well as several garden and bridge clubs. In Charlotte she was active in the Meyer Park Baptist Church and employed as Jewelry Buyer for J C Penney's. Coming to Spokane in 1961, she became assistant buyer of sportswear at The Crescent. During this time she met Dean Angstrom and they were married in September 1962, when she came to Wilbur to make her home. She was a member of the Eagles Lodge and Auxiliary No. 2577 of Grand Coulee and The Wilbur Gem and Mineral Club.
