Description	:	Kathy A. Donscheski, 73, of Elba, died Sunday, Oct. 17, 2021, surrounded by her family at CHI Health St. Francis in Grand Island. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at the United Methodist Church in St. Paul. The Rev. Susan Murithi will officiate. Kathy was born Dec. 7, 1947, at Red Cloud, the daughter of Albert and Mildred (Johnson) Hartman. She grew up in Blue Hill where she attended school and graduated from Blue Hill High School in 1966. She then attended nursing school in Kearney and received her LPN license and worked in nursing in Kearney. She was united in marriage to Dallas W. Donscheski on Dec. 4, 1971, at Blue Hill. The couple first lived in Ayr and the next year moved to Cotesfield. In 1974, they moved their family to Elba, where she lived the rest of her life. Kathy worked for Elba Public Schools for 35 years as the Head Cook, retiring in May 2021. She was an active member of the Elba United Methodist Church, served on the Elba Cemetery board and was an Elba EMT for many years. Kathy enjoyed sewing, quilting, gambling trips and her church ladies group and she dearly loved all her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of almost 50 years, Dallas of Elba; children and spouses, Brent and Tabitha Donscheski of Palmer, Todd and Melissa Donscheski of St. Paul, Chad Donscheski of Cotesfield and Sara and Rusty Roy of Elba; seven grandchildren, Chandler, Connor, Reilly and Ashlyn Donscheski, Cody Donscheski, Layla Donscheski and Sawyer Roy; sister-in-law, Doris Hartman of Blue Hill; sister-in-law and husband, Sharon and Don Keep of Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers and one sister-in-law, Dick and Jo Hartman, Lonnie Hartman and Rodney Hartman; and her in-laws, Edwin and Evelyn Donscheski.
