Read More	Kate Amelia Sale was born at Elmira, New York, July 4, 1835, and died at Seward, Nebraska, March 22, 1899, aged 63 years, 8 months and 18 days. She moved to New York City from Elmira,, and from New York City to Iowa City, Iowa, where she was married to Hezekiah Atkins December 23, 1858. There were three children born to Mr. and Mrs. Atkins, Smith D. born January 6, 1860, who resides in Seward; Charles A. born April 23, 1862, who resides in Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Minnie Bell Atkins born January 17, 1868, and who died in Seward, May 17, 1880. Her husband also died in Seward, January 18, 1889. Mrs. Atkins had been a great sufferer for a long time, but bore her affliction with Christian fortitude and patience. She was greatly loved and respected by all who enjoyed her acquaintance. The funeral services were held on Friday at 2:30 p.m., Rev. Knox Boude officiating, Revs. Sexton and Kemper assisting. Dr. Dieffenbacher and wife of York, and Chas. A. Atkins and wife of Council Bluffs, Iowa were present. Blue Valley Blade, Seward, NE, Wed, March 29, 1899 Hezekiah Atkins, the third son of Adna Stanly Atkins, was born at Horseheads, Chemung county, New York, July 4, 1831, and died at Seward, Nebraska January 19, 1889, aged 57 years, 6 months and 14 days. In 1846 he emigrated to Freeport, Illinois, with his father's family, and was engaged there in the saddlery business. About 1858 he settled at Vinton, Iowa. On December 23, 1858, he was married at Iowa City, Iowa to Miss Kate Amelia Sale, who survives him with two sons, Smith D., who was partner with his father in the saddlery business at Seward, and Charles Adna, who resides at Beatrice, Nebraska, where he is manager of the telephone exchange. The deceased was not a member of any church, but had firm faith in a future life, but died as he had lived, trusting the all Father. He settled in Seward, Nebraska in 1879, where he continually resided until his death. Gen. S. D. Atkins of Freeport, Illinois arrived last Sunday night to attend the funeral of his brother, H.
