Corvallis Gazette-Times, November 14, 1968 ----------------------- OBIT 2: Graveside services for Mrs. Katie Palmer, 85, former resident of the Colfax area, will be at 3 p.m. tomorrow at the Colfax Cemetery. The Rev. John R. Branden will officiate. Mrs. Palmer was born September 9, 1883, at Lee's Siding near Colfax, the daughter of the late William and Tressa Lee, pioneer residents of the area. She was married to Arthur Chester Palmer in 1903 at Lee's Siding. They lived in this community until 1938 when they moved to Corvallis, Oregon, where Mrs. Palmer died Wednesday. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Colfax. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Burton S. Hutton, Corvallis, Oregon; a granddaughter, Mrs. W. M. Turnquist, and great grandson, Stuart Turnquist, both of Temple City, California and one sister, Mrs. E. F. Schuldt, Colfax. Spokane Chronicle, November 15, 1968
