Description	:	Mrs. Kay Rhodes Wiggins, 64, of Estill, died Friday, May 18, 2007, in the Hampton Regional Medical Center after an extended illness. Born November 3, 1942, in Estill, she was the daughter of the late Jeter E. Rhodes and Lucille Gallman Rhodes. Kay was a graduate of Estill High School and a 1962 graduate of Newberry College. She was the secretary for the family business, Wiggins and Son and Wiggins Concrete Company, was a member of the Estill Book Club and had always been a very active volunteer with Patrick Henry Academy. She was a lifelong and very involved member... Read More	Mrs. Kay Rhodes Wiggins, 64, of Estill, died Friday, May 18, 2007, in the Hampton Regional Medical Center after an extended illness. Born November 3, 1942, in Estill, she was the daughter of the late Jeter E. Rhodes and Lucille Gallman Rhodes. Kay was a graduate of Estill High School and a 1962 graduate of Newberry College. She was the secretary for the family business, Wiggins and Son and Wiggins Concrete Company, was a member of the Estill Book Club and had always been a very active volunteer with Patrick Henry Academy. She was a lifelong and very involved member of Lawtonville Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Robert G. (Bro) Wiggins, III of the home; one son, Robert Jackson (Bob) Wiggins and wife, Rachel, of Estill; three daughters, Laurie W. Hanna and husband, Chris, of Estill, Stephanie W. Bates and husband, Robert, of Chapin, S.C., and Tracie Wiggins of Columbia; one brother, Rev. Joseph Rhodes and wife, Tina, of Baton Rouge, La.; and two sisters, Nancy R. Hunter and husband, Rev. Dr. Jim Hunter, of Greenville and Gale R. Dreher of Estill. There are seven grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Jeter Rhodes. The family would like to express their heartfelt love and appreciation to her loyal caregivers, Mrs. Nell Hadwin and Sally Moore. Graveside funeral services will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. in the Lawtonville Cemetery near Estill, conducted by Rev. Dr. Jamie Norris and directed by Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home, Estill Chapel. The family will receive friends at their residence, 391 Third Street, Estill, S.C., from 3 to 8 p.m. on Saturday and prior to the services on Sunday. The family suggests that memorials be made to Patrick Henry Academy Gateway Fund, 8766 Savannah Highway, Estill, SC 29918.
