Read More	Grinnell Herald-Register ~ 29 Sep 2008 Keith Vosburg, 83, of Grinnell, died on Wednesday, September 24, 2008, at Mayflower Health Care Center. Memorial service at the United Church of Christ-Congregational. The son of Glenn and Iva Stover Vosburg, he was born on March 12, 1925, in Grinnell. He grew up in Gilman, graduating from high school there in the Class of 1942. He attended Cornell College in Mount Vernon for one year, after which he joined the United States Army, serving from 1943 to 1946. As a member of the 389th AAA Battalion, he served in New Guinea and Morotai Island, Halmahera. He worked at Vosburg Lumber in Gilman until 1951, after which he was a partner in the Vosburg Ice Cream Cottage until 1955. At that time his family moved to Grinnell where he joined the staff of Richardson-Phelps Lumber Co. He purchased the business in 1967, and established Vosburg Building Center, from where he retired in 1995. He married Wilma Love on February 27, 1949. He was active in the Grinnell Jaycees, a 50-year member of the Masonic Lodge, a 60-year member of the American Legion, and member of the Grinnell Elks Lodge. He was active in the Iowa Lumbermen's Association and the Northwest Lumber Association. He served one term on the Grinnell-Newberg School Board and on various boards at his church. He enjoyed fishing in Canada, Army reunions, playing bridge, and singing with the Grinnell Men's Chorus. Surviving are his wife, Wilma of Grinnell; one son, Bill Vosburg of Grinnell; two daughters, Lynn Pelisek of Madrid, Iowa, and Nancy Vosburg of DeLand, Florida; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Maurice Vosburg of Hampton, and Gail Vosburg of Surprise, Arizona.
