Description	:	Keith Franklin Ott, 79, passed away February 9, 2013 at St Francis Regional Health Center in Topeka, KS. He was born on January 24, 1934, in Madison, KS the son of Pete and Katherine (Coffman) Ott. He grew up on a farm near Lamont, KS and he graduated from Lamont High School in 1953. To this union two children were born,... Read More	Keith Franklin Ott, 79, passed away February 9, 2013 at St Francis Regional Health Center in Topeka, KS. He was born on January 24, 1934, in Madison, KS the son of Pete and Katherine (Coffman) Ott. He grew up on a farm near Lamont, KS and he graduated from Lamont High School in 1953. He farmed for two years with his father before joining the United States Army in 1955. After the Army, he continued to farm. He was united in marriage to Zola Mae Harlan on April 7, 1968. To this union two children were born, a daughter, Sandra (Ott) Donnelly and a son, Perry Ott. He continued to farm and work for several area oil field businessmen. His wife Zola passed away January 27, 1986. Following Zola's death Keith continued to farm and work in the oil field until health reasons forced him to retire from oil field work. He continued to farm on his own until selling the farm in 2007 and moving to Wyndam Place Apartments in Emporia. Keith continued his love for agriculture by working for Clayton and Larry McIlvain from 2000 until 2012. Keith was preceded in death by his wife Zola Mae Ott, his parents Pete and Katherine Ott, brothers Donald Ott and twin brother Kenneth Ott, and sister Rosalie Ott. Survivors include his daughter Sandra Donnelly and husband David of Windam, ME and son Perry Ott and wife Trisha of Lebo, KS; grandchildren, Drew, Kaden & Katie Ott and Joseph Keith Donnelly and numerous nephews, nieces & cousins. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, February 14, 2013 at the Flint Hills Christian Church in Emporia. Burial will follow services at Lena Valley Cemetery near Lamont. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm Wednesday evening at the Jones VanArsdale Funeral Home in Lebo. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wyndam Place Apartments or the Flint Hills Christian Church and sent in care of the funeral home.
