Mr. Kelsey was born Nov. 6, 1941, at Chillicothe to Edward and Clara Schilling Kelsey. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1959 to 1973 and served three tours of duty in Vietnam. Following his discharge, he moved to Oskaloosa and worked at several places, including Clow Corp. and as a semi-truck driver. He also operated a furniture refinishing shop. On May 30, 1978, he married DeeAnna Springer at Oskaloosa. They moved to Unionville in March 1999. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans. Survivors include his wife: DeeAnna Kelsey of Unionville; two daughters and their husbands: Karen and Charles White of Yuma, Ariz., and Shilo and Todd Phillips of Ollie; a son: Jerry Kelsey of Unionville; his mother: Clara Kelsey of Eddyville; two brothers and a sister-in-law: Lloyd and Phyllis Kelsey of Eddyville and Paul Kelsey of Albuquerque, N.M.; four sisters and two brothers-in-law: Marie and Dick Forney of Port Byron, Ill., Bonnie Cook of Davenport, Mary and Kenneth Majors of Bettendorf and Becky Kelsey of Des Moines. He was preceded in death by his father; and a brother: Edward Kelsey.
