Description	:	Funeral services for Jerome Wilkinson, 44, professor of English at Knox, Colleg, Galesburg, Ill., will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Major Memorial Chapel. He died Monday in a hospital at Galesburg. The Rev. Clarence D. Sink, pastor of South Waterloo Church of the Brethren, Waterloo, will officiate. Mr. Wilkinson was born July 11, 1917, at Rock Falls, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. V. Wilkinson. He was a graduate of Rock Falls High School and University of Michigan. He was awarded a Fulbright lectureship at the University of Athens, Greece, for the school year 1959-1960. He received his doctor of philosophy degree at the University of Michigan and was formerly on the faculty there and at Oberlin College. During World War II, he served 32 months overseas as major with the 7th Army Artillery. He was married to Eloise Lamb at Traer Dec. 7, 1941. They made their home at 419 Olive Street, Galesburg. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church at Galesburg. Surviving are his wife, Eloise Wilkinson, Galesburg; a son, James W., and a daughter, Gail, both at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. V. Wilkinson, Rock Falls; a brother, John Wilkinson, Lexington, Mass., and a sister, Mrs. Kenneth (Carolyn) Hoffman, Hudson. Burial will be in the Rock Falls Cemetery.
