Description	:	Keith Newberry, age 84, passed away on Friday, June 6, 2014 at Valley Manor Care Center in Montrose, Colorado. Keith Duncan Newberry was born on April 21, 1930 at home, east of Highland School near Olathe to parents, Benjamin Earl and Eva (Duncan) Newberry. He attended eight years of school at Highland and four years at Olathe High School. During high school summers, he worked for the Colorado State Highway Department and at Peterson's Garage in Olathe. Read More	Keith Newberry, age 84, passed away on Friday, June 6, 2014 at Valley Manor Care Center in Montrose, Colorado. Keith Duncan Newberry was born on April 21, 1930 at home, east of Highland School near Olathe to parents, Benjamin Earl and Eva (Duncan) Newberry. He attended eight years of school at Highland and four years at Olathe High School. During high school summers, he worked for the Colorado State Highway Department and at Peterson's Garage in Olathe. After graduation, Keith moved to Fort Bragg, California and secured a job with Kemppe Hardware. In September of 1948 he returned to Olathe to marry his love, Betty Stone. He then went to Fort Bragg and worked there until April of 1952 when Keith joined the United States Army. He spent 23 months with basic training at Fort Bliss, Texas then to Nancy France. After his discharge in May of 1954, with the rank of Sergeant E5, he returned to Fort Bragg, California and worked again at Kemppe Hardward. In 1962, he moved the family back to Montrose, Colorado to be a partner in Jim's Sheet Metal. In 1973, he started his own business, Keith's Heating and A/C and retired in 1997. Keith was a member of the Montrose Jaycee's, Lion's Club, American Legion and Montrose and Olathe Methodist Churches. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Jim Newberry (1999) and Stan Newberry (1991). Keith is survived by his wife, Betty; three daughters, Marcia Byler and husband, Jason; Janet Lehman and husband, Randy; Julie Giannangelo and husband, Eric, six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
