Kenneth Albert Muecke was born on July 30, 1925 to Albert and Emma (Reimers) Muecke in rural Hinton, Iowa. He was raised on the family dairy farm, attending country school and later attending Concordia Academy in St. Paul, Minnesota. After school, he moved back and began working on the farm with his father. He was united in marriage to Lorene Aase on April 9, 1944 at Trinity Lutheran Church in rural Hinton, Iowa. Kenny was self employed, working on the farm and also working as a carpenter. In 1971 Kenny began working full time as a carpenter after he and Lorene moved off the farm and into town. Lorene passed away in July 2, 1995. Kenny retired in 2001. Kenny was a lifetime member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Hinton, Iowa. In his younger years, Kenny enjoyed playing baseball for the Lincoln Township team. He loved fishing; he would take trips to Canada with his cousins and sons. Later in life, Kenny became a volunteer carpenter and would assist a construction crew that would build Lutheran Churches. Kenny is survived by his five children: Sharon (Dan) Ruppert of Minneapolis, MN, Clifford 'Gus' (Rhonda) Muecke of Hinton, IA, Roger (Judy) Muecke of Hudson, SD, Michael (Marcia) Muecke of Hinton, IA, and Greg Muecke of Hinton, IA; 15 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives. Kenny is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lorene; daughter-in-law, Donna Muecke; three sisters; and two brothers. [Courtesy: Carlsen Funeral Homes]
