He was born August 25, 1904, in Olds, the son of William and Barbara (Stuckey) Burkey. On February 20, 1935, he married Lena Brown in Mt. Pleasant. He farmed near Salem for 35 years. Visitation was held after noon on Sunday at Beatty Funeral Home, where family received friends from 7 to 8 p.m.
