Description	:	Kenneth Eberline was born to Russell and Augusta Eberline in the house on their farm on December 12, 1926. He grew up as an only child. On November 22, 1946, he was married to Veralynn Allard. They moved into the upstairs of the farmhouse with his parents living on the first floor. Over the years many happy memories were made. Even when members of... Read More	Kenneth Eberline was born to Russell and Augusta Eberline in the house on their farm on December 12, 1926. He grew up as an only child. On November 22, 1946, he was married to Veralynn Allard. They moved into the upstairs of the farmhouse with his parents living on the first floor. They had four children: Bruce, Janice, Paula and Lonn. As the children married and moved away, the farm became a very special place for their families to visit, especially at Christmas. Over the years many happy memories were made. Even when members of the family would go to visit Ken and Vera after they moved into George, going to see them would be affectionately referred to as “going to the farm.” Ken was a self-taught student of the Bible. Although he had only a high school education, he excelled in his knowledge of the Scriptures. He faithfully taught a Sunday School for many years. When asked to fill in and preach while pastors were on vacation or when churches were between pastors, he would go. It became obvious to all who heard him that he also had a speaking gift. Over the years he would go preach as requests came in. It was not unusual for him to hear from more than one church for any given weekend. At one point it became necessary for him to keep a record of messages he had preached at all of the various churches. He wanted to make sure that he would never preach the same message twice at the same church. When Dr. E.W. Crockett, the founder and director of the Christian Servicemen’s Centers, approached Ken and asked him to be the speaker on his radio broadcast, he agreed to do so. Over the years, Ken gained a faithful following of listeners who were blessed by his radio ministry. He was always encouraged when listeners wrote to tell him how much they appreciated his messages. Ken died peacefully in his sleep at the Avera Behavioral Health Center in Sioux Falls, SD. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, his precious wife, Veralynn of almost 70 years, who died on June 29, of last year; a son, Lonn; a daughter-in-law, Linda Eberline; and a son-in-law, Terry Cole. He is survived by three of his children; Bruce (Deb) Eberline in Chicago, IL; Jan (Eberline) Dunlap in Denver, CO; and Paula (David) Tebbe in Gulf Shores, Al. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Noel Eberline, Benjamin (Liz) Eberline, Alexandra Eberline, Dru (Kellie) Dunlap, Max Dunlap, Trevor (Rhonda) Cole, Tabitha (Andre) Stephenson, Ken (Keri) Eberline, Whitney Piper, Elliott Piper, Adam (Paige) Piper, Avery (Tember) Piper. He is also survived by 19 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great, Great Grandchild.
