Description	:	Kenny was born in Ellendale to Edward and Emilia(Pfeifle)Kosel. He was babptized and confirmed in the Zion Lutheran Church Ellendale,ND. He went to country school. He entered the U S Army in 1957 and was honorably discharged in 1959. He then began working for Houghton's Meat Market in Ellendale. He married Betty Heintzman in 1959 at Redfield,SD. From 1967 to 1970 Kenny worked at the Long LAke Meat Market in Long Lake,SD. From 1967 to 1970 Kenny worked at the Long LAke Meat Market in Long Lake,SD. In 1970 he returned to Ellendale and began working at the Jack & Jill store as a meat cutter. in 1975 while on vacation he graduated from Western College of Auctioneering in Billings,MT. He continued to work at Jack and Jill untill 1985 when he bought Houghton's Meat Market in Ellendale which he operated untill 1996. He then went to work at the local store as meat cutter where he received numerous awards for outstanding quality in the meat department untill 2000. He continued auctioneering and ranching untill his death. He enjoyed auctioneering,baling hay,working on the farm,spending time with his family and grandchildren, antiques,singing and listening to music (especially Gene Autry) story telling and riding horse. He was a member of Forbes American Legion and board member of Whitestone Battlefield Asso. and Ellendale O.P.E.R.A. He is survived by his wife of 51 years; two sons Todd(Lonnie)Kosel of Edgeley,ND; Russel(Merle)Kosel of Ellendale; two daughters Carmen(Mike)Divine of AZ. Holly(Chris)Carr of SD. 13 grandchildren,7 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Don of ND; Ron of ND; four sisters Shirley Strand ND; Bernice Kruckenburg, Wa.; Evelyn Oster,WA.;Carol Kosel,ND; preceded in death by his parents and one brother Howard; one sister Debra.
