Description	:	Kenneth E. Grant, 84, of Hazen, ND, passed away on Sunday, November 06, 2016, at Knife River Care Center Beaulah. Kenneth was born on July 15, 1932, at Wadena, MN, to Wayne Fred Grant and Marie Elizabeth (Rohr) Grant. He was raised and educated at Wadena School. He lived and worked in Wadena, MN, for a time and also Osseo, MN, before coming to Beulah in July of 1948. Grant, 84, of Hazen, ND, passed away on Sunday, November 06, 2016, at Knife River Care Center Beaulah. Kenneth was born on July 15, 1932, at Wadena, MN, to Wayne Fred Grant and Marie Elizabeth (Rohr) Grant. He was raised and educated at Wadena School. He lived and worked in Wadena, MN, for a time and also Osseo, MN, before coming to Beulah in July of 1948. Kenneth worked as an electrician with his dad and his Uncle Stanley Grant for a time and also Cox Bakery in Bismarck. In 1951, he came to Hazen and worked at Hazen Bakery. On February 28, 1952, he married Alma Weigum, at Beulah, ND. After his marriage he worked for Liebelt’s and Farmer’s Union in Beulah. On August 21, 1952, he went into the Army and was stationed in Japan. August 6, 1954, Kenneth was honorably discharged from the Army. He then began working for Art Oster of Hazen. Then in 1955, he began working for Standard Oil, City of Hazen, Miller Implement, and Mobil Oil. In 1974, he went to work for Glen Harold Mine and retired on October 30, 1993. Kenneth belonged to the Hazen Fire Department for a number of years and was also Fire Chief. He is survived by his children, Susan Lee of Hazen and David (Wendy) Grant of Hazen; grandchildren, Dustin (Nikki) Grant, Thomas (Rhonda) Lee, Heather (Tom) Volk, Taylor (Kirsten) Lee, Ty Grant and Terrence (Kendra) Lee; great-grandchildren, Marshal Grant, Lane Grant, Abigail Lee, Wyatt Lee, Isabella Volk and Walter Volk; step-mother, Doris Grant of Sabeka, MN; half-sisters; Debbie (Markus) Wehlert of Sebeka, MN; Lori Murray of Marshfield, WI; step-sister, Connie (Jerry) Rhoades of Marshfield, WI. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Alma; one son, Timothy Grant; one grandson, AJ Grant; his step-father, Peter Overstad. Barbot Funeral Home
