Kenny was born August 13, 1930 in Ottumwa to Oren and Ollie Ruby Anderson. He married Bonita Copeland July 20, 1952 and they had four children. He married Judy Ann Chichester on June 27, 1998. Kenny was born August 13, 1930 in Ottumwa to Oren and Ollie Ruby Anderson. He married Bonita Copeland July 20, 1952 and they had four children. He married Judy Ann Chichester on June 27, 1998. A 1949 graduate of Ottumwa High School, Kenny served with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Uhlmann during the Korean Conflict. He worked for Harper McIntire, at John Morrell & Co. for 22 years, for Rexnord and Lowenberg Bakery. He also worked for 12 years for Glover Ford, at Harris Motors and operated an auto repair business out of his garage on Saturdays. Kenny was a member of Empire Masonic Lodge #269 A.F. &A.M. Surviving is his wife, Judy; his children, Debbie Tippett (Marc Briseno) of Carson City, NV, Tony (Tammy) Anderson and Todd Anderson (Donna "Duck" Durham) both of Ottumwa; 7 grandchildren, Kenny "Bud" (Tory) Anderson III, Kari (Aaron) Short, Ryan Anderson (fiancé, Dezeree Stewart), David (Stephanie) Tippett, Talisa Voss, Trisha (Jason) Mally and Tommy Sand; 14 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Shirley Anderson and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth Anderson Jr.; siblings, Loren and Leland Anderson, Joann Finneman and Virginia Holmquist. Visitation will be open after 11 a.m. Thursday, August 26th at Reece Funeral Home with the family present to greet friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, August 27th at Reece Funeral Home with his nephew, Rev. Kyle Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery with military honors by Walter B. Schafer Post #775 Veterans of Foreign Wars and O.B. Nelson Post #3 American Legion. Memorials may be made to Heartland Humane Society.
