Description	:	Ken was born June 20, 1952 to Andrew and Eva (Garry) Schulte in Mitchell, SD. He grew up on a farm south of Emery. While on the farm, he helped milk cows and do chores. Ken graduated from Emery High School. During his high school years, he spent Friday and Saturday nights going to local dances with friends. He was always "ready to go" if there was anything going on. Read More	Ken was born June 20, 1952 to Andrew and Eva (Garry) Schulte in Mitchell, SD. He grew up on a farm south of Emery. While on the farm, he helped milk cows and do chores. Ken graduated from Emery High School. During his high school years, he spent Friday and Saturday nights going to local dances with friends. He was always "ready to go" if there was anything going on. Ken attended Mitchell Technical Institute and obtained a degree in Auto Mechanics. Ken married Linda Walton on March 22, 1975. Ken and Linda settled outside of Sioux Falls where they raised their 3 children and made a home for over 30 years. Ken worked for Firestone for over 20 years until he left to focus on his own rental property business. Ken passed his hard work ethic onto his children who continue to help him maintain the properties. Ken was dedicated to St. Joseph Cathedral where he was an usher and a Parish Council member. Ken loved fishing, 4-wheeling, and spending countless hours at the dining room table playing his favorite card game, euchre. He will be remembered for his dedication to his family and the closeness he maintained with his countless brothers and sisters throughout the years. One of his greatest joys in life was his grandchildren and their many visits to papa's house. His memory will live on through the stories shared of his life. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eva and Andrew Schulte; sister, Joan Berg; and his father-in-law and great friend, Marvin Walton.
