Description	:	Kenneth Ganske, 81, of New Salem, ND formerly of Hazen, ND died Saturday, October 3, 2015 at Elm Crest Manor, New Salem. Ken was born on December 7, 1933 to Julius and Pauline (Erbele) Ganske in Stanton, ND. He grew up and attended school in Stanton, graduating from Stanton High School. Following graduation, Ken served in the US Army for a time before becoming a sheet metal worker. He married Edna Burkett in 1960 and in 1967 he moved back to the Hazen/Stanton area. Read More	Kenneth Ganske, 81, of New Salem, ND formerly of Hazen, ND died Saturday, October 3, 2015 at Elm Crest Manor, New Salem. Ken was born on December 7, 1933 to Julius and Pauline (Erbele) Ganske in Stanton, ND. He grew up and attended school in Stanton, graduating from Stanton High School. Following graduation, Ken served in the US Army for a time before becoming a sheet metal worker. He married Edna Burkett in 1960 and in 1967 he moved back to the Hazen/Stanton area. In 1969, Ken and Edna moved back to the family farm where he farmed and resided until he retired. Ken loved to hunt, fish and was also the Minnesota Twins number one fan. He is survived by his wife Eleanor Lindemann of Hazen; two daughters, Lorie (Neal) Roesler of Hickson, ND and Deby (Todd) Sobolik of Winona, MN; one daughter-in-law, Pam Ganske of Hazen; one sister, Fern Tellman of New Salem; one brother, Herb Ganske of Montana; his grandchildren, Becky Stanley, David Stanley and Chondra Stanley, all of Winona, Kristen (Kevin) Reinhardt of Bismarck, Kenneth Ganske, Daniel (Brittany) Ganske and Jayme (Mike) Lapp, all of Hazen, and Tara Roesler and Jade Roesler, both of Hickson; and 14 great-grandchildren. Ken was preceded in death by his wife, Edna; his son, Clyde; his parents; and his siblings, Lillian Holle, Palmer Ganske, Violet Walline, Archie Ganske and Joy Fritz. A special thank you to the Alan Tellman family and Elm Crest Manor for all the love, care and support that was given to Ken. Arrangements conducted by Barbot Funeral Home, Beulah and Hazen.
