Mr. Sours was born Sept. 6, 1922, in Luray, and was the son of the late Carl Isaac Sours and Annie Bell (Fox) Sours. He was vice president at Page Valley Bank for 30 years. Mr. Sours was born Sept. 6, 1922, in Luray, and was the son of the late Carl Isaac Sours and Annie Bell (Fox) Sours. He was vice president at Page Valley Bank for 30 years. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, a member of Luray VFW Post 621, Lafayette Lodge No. 137 and A.F.&A.M. since 1950. He was a member of Beth Eden Lutheran Church. On Jan. 8, 1945, he married Kathleen V. Vaughn, who preceded him in death Oct. 5, 1995. On Feb. 14, 1997, he married Delphine K. Bauer, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Barbara D. Griffith of Columbia, Md.; two grandsons, Adam T. Griffith of Port Orange, Fla., and Sean K. Griffith of Raleigh, N.C.; and two great-grandsons, Riley G. Griffith and Hayden K. Griffith, both of Port Orange, Fla. In addition to his parents and first wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Bonnie Kay Sours, and three sisters, Muriel Bradley, Alice Sours and Vida Tutwiler. The Rev. James R. Daley will conduct the funeral 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2011, at Beth Eden Lutheran Church. Burial will be at Beahm's Chapel Cemetery in Luray with a Masonic service and military honors. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 21, at Bradley Funeral Home in Luray. Memorial contributions may be made to the Luray Fire Department, Luray Rescue Squad or Beth Eden Lutheran Church.
