Description	:	Kenneth J. Richman, 89, of Grinnell and formerly of Brooklyn, Iowa died July 13, 2007, at his home. Kenneth was born on a farm north of Brooklyn on November 22, 1917 to Raymond A. and Cora Montgomery Richman. He was a 1935 graduate of Brooklyn High School and later attended Capitol City Commercial College in Des Moines. He was married to Xavie Lenore Goodrich on January 25, 1939, in Brooklyn and the couple farmed north of Brooklyn. They moved to Brooklyn in 1965, but he continued farming until 1977. Kenneth was born on a farm north of Brooklyn on November 22, 1917 to Raymond A. and Cora Montgomery Richman. He was a 1935 graduate of Brooklyn High School and later attended Capitol City Commercial College in Des Moines. He was married to Xavie Lenore Goodrich on January 25, 1939, in Brooklyn and the couple farmed north of Brooklyn. They moved to Brooklyn in 1965, but he continued farming until 1977. The couple moved to Grinnell in 1995. He served as Poweshiek County Supervisor from 1977 through 1984, and was a former board member of Brooklyn Mutual Telephone and Poweshiek County 4-H Fair. He was very active in his church and served on the Des Moines Presbytery Ministerial Relations Committee. Survivors include two sons, Richard (Sharon) Richman of Ames and Rollin (Crystal) Richman of Kalamazoo, Michigan; four grandchildren, Brett (Kendra) Richman of Waterloo, Kurtt (Barb) Richman of Minneapolis, Angie (Doug) Jonas of Richland, Michigan, and Todd (Nicole) Richman of Shelby Township, Michigan; and eleven great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Xavie in 1999; one daughter, Betty Ann Richman; and one sister, Irene Goodrich.
