Kenny was born on October 4, 1945 in Webster, SD to Leo and Angela (Gort) Sass. He attended rural country school near there home until the 8th grade. In 1963 he graduated from Webster High School. Following school he entered the South Dakota National Guard where he served for 6 years. After the passing of Kenny's father Kenny returned to the family farm and farmed until his passing. In his spare time Kenny enjoyed doing side jobs during the fall and winter months. Kenny was a member of the Herbert McKennett American Legion Post #40, Webster, Cruising Classic Car Club, the Highland Township Board, and Christ The King Catholic Church. Kenny enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding snowmobile, driving his 67 Plymouth GTX, and spending time with his friends and family especially his three granddaughters. Grateful for having shared his life is his son; Chris (Amy) Sass of Clark, SD, three granddaughters; Olivia, Ella and Alayna, and his special friend Jane Dargatz. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Carolyn Neal.
