"Kenny" VanRosendale, age 82, of Madison, died Wed., July 6, 2011, at Madison Community Hospital. He was born June 8, 1929, at Miller, SD, to Floyd and Grace (Pearson) VanRosendale. Kenny moved with his family to a farm near Orland and graduated from Orland High School. He farmed with his dad and married Betty Mae Peterson in 1952. They lost an infant son and she died in 1959. Kenny married Nancy Nace on December 31, 1960, at Colman. They farmed near Center, SD, until 1988 when they moved into Madison. He worked for Aberdeen Grain, ASCS office and Graceland Cemetery. Kenny was a member of Salem Lutheran Church at Center. He enjoyed yard work and gardening, especially flowers. Preceded in death by: his parents; an infant son; his first wife; one sister, Maxine Schmidt; and one brother, Johnny VanRosendale. Survivors: include his wife Nancy of Madison; one brother, Merlyn (Ardella) VanRosendale of Madison; one sister, Marge Wilkey of Las Vegas, NV; his mother-in-law, Bev Nace of Colman; one sister-in-law, Rosetta VanRosendale of Riverside, CA; many nieces and nephews; and three Godchildren, Kaitlynn VanVooren, John Baker and Connie VanRosendale.
