Description	:	Funeral services for Kenneth Colson, 41, of Royal, who died Thursday, April 13 in the Creighton hospital, were conducted Saturday afternoon at the United Methodist Church in Orchard with the Rev. Melvin Shafer officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery at Creighton. Kenneth L. Colson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Colson, was born April 11, 1931 at Royal. He attended school at Royal, graduating from the high school there. He married Lois B. Kimble July 14, 1957 at the Methodist Church in Creighton. Melvin Shafer officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery at Creighton. Kenneth L. Colson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Colson, was born April 11, 1931 at Royal. He attended school at Royal, graduating from the high school there. He married Lois B. Kimble July 14, 1957 at the Methodist Church in Creighton. They lived their entire married life in Royal, where Mr. Colson operated the Colson Oil Company. Three sons and one daughter were born to them. Mr. Colson was a member of the town board, the fire department and cemetery board. He was a member of the United Methodist Church. He served with the Army Corps of Engineers in the Korean Conflict. He had been ill more than a year, suffering with Wegener's Disease. Mr. Colson is survived by his wife; sons, Dale, age 13, Alan, 7 and Larry, 4; daughter, Lola, 12, all at home; two brothers, Wayne of Norfolk and Glen of Royal and his parents.
