Mr. Floyd was born November 3, 1966 in Conway, South Carolina, a son of La Rue and Judy Buffkin Floyd. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed playing golf. Mr. Floyd was born November 3, 1966 in Conway, South Carolina, a son of La Rue and Judy Buffkin Floyd. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed playing golf. Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are his parents, LaRue and Judy Buffkin Floyd of Galivants Ferry; one stepson, Benjamin Smith Sr. of Surfside; one brother, Chuck Floyd and his wife, Suzanne, of Galivants Ferry; two sisters, Kelli P. Floyd of Surfside and Heather F. Ard and her husband, Dwayne, of Aynor; two grandchildren, Harley Smith and Benjamin Smith Jr., both of Surfside; maternal grandmother, Mabel Buffkin of Tabor City, N.C.; two nephews, Noah Floyd and Samuel Floyd; and one niece, Hannah Floyd. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at Pisgah United Methodist Church with the Rev. Tony Adams officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
