(Hanson) Meyer in Dover Township, Fayette County, Iowa. He was baptized on July 23, 1933 and confirmed on Palm Sunday in 1947 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Eldorado. He graduated from West Union High School in 1952. Kenny was united in marriage to Eileen Pape on June 12, 1954 at St. Peter in Eldorado. Two children were born to this union; Sheryl Ann and Steven Kenneth. Kenny and Eileen lived in Ft. Sill, Oklahoma, until May 1955 while Kenny was in the Army. The couple farmed for 34 years on Eileen’s family farm near Eldorado. They were the 4th generation to live on the farm. In 1984, Kenny and Eileen were honored as Fayette County Distinguished Dairymen. In 1989, they moved to West Union and Kenny began working as the manager of Fayette County Recycling. Kenny was a life-long member of St. Peter Lutheran Church. He served on the church council in multiple roles. He also served on the West Union Coop board of directors. Kenny enjoyed collecting tractors and spending time with family, especially his great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eileen; son, Steven; parents, William and Charlotte Meyer; parents-in-law, Sam and Lillie Pape; a brother, Herbert Meyer; and a granddaughter, Robyn Meyer.
