Read More	OBITUARY - JOHNSON COUNTY COURIER - 25 April 1957 - page 1: Kenneth L. Tyler, son of Jacob P. Tyler Jr. and Cora Tyler was born September 28, 1894 at Sterling, NE. He was educated in the Sterling school graduating here with the class of 1913. He served his country during World War I. For many years he had been manager of the Farmers Union store in Sterling. He was always pleasant and considerate and had a host of friends. He married Gladys Brant and to them was born a son, John who survives him. Other survivors are his aged mother, Mrs. Cora Tyler; one sister, Mrs. H.D. McCormack of Colorado Springs, CO. and one niece Mrs. Byron T. Knowles of Baggs, WY. For many months Mr. Tyler had been in failing health. On March 15, he entered Bailey's Sanatorium at Lincoln where he underwent surgery. On Monday evening, April 15, 1957, at eight o'clock he died there at the age of 62 years, 6 months, and 17 days. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. E. John Kess Thursday afternoon in the Zink Funeral home in Sterling. Mrs. Lloyd Wilson was soloist, accompanied by Mrs. Marie Kopplin. Pallbearers were Mark Case, Glen Linford, Gus Warnke, Herman Zuhlke, Alvin Weber and Walter Zink. Interment was in Sterling cemetery. Among those from a distance who attended the services were Dr. May Flanagan, Mr. Hotto, Ellizabeth Murphy, Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Edwards of Lincoln; R.A. Goettsche of Omaha and Geo. Endres of Portland, OR. Sympathy is with those who mourn.
