Description	:	Kenneth M. Golden Kenneth M. Golden, 78, of French Creek, died Monday, Aug. 2, 2004, at the Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center following a long illness. He was born Oct. 16, 1925, in Barbour County, the son of the late Burner and Nellie Jones Golden. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Rose Marie Price Golden; two sisters, Betty Banschbach and Geraldine Golden; and one grandson, Mitchell Simpson. Golden Kenneth M. Golden, 78, of French Creek, died Monday, Aug. 2, 2004, at the Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center following a long illness. He was born Oct. 16, 1925, in Barbour County, the son of the late Burner and Nellie Jones Golden. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Rose Marie Price Golden; two sisters, Betty Banschbach and Geraldine Golden; and one grandson, Mitchell Simpson. He is survived by his second wife, Wanda Toler Golden; one daughter, Ann Lantz of French Creek; one son, Mitch Golden of French Creek; four stepchildren, Janet Ann Simpson of Beckley, Rita Mae Cook of Alabama, Jerry Herold Harvey of Lynco and Jesse James Harvey of Bott; one sister, Adeline Ashcraft of Ohio; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was a member of the Franklin Lodge No. 7 AF & AM and the Osiris Shrine Temple. He was past president of the Upshur County Shrine Club. He belonged to the Scottish Rite in Clarksburg and Wheeling and was a 32nd-degree Mason. He belonged to the Buckhannon Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3663. Mr. Golden served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Mr. Golden was a Baptist by faith. Friends will be received at the Heavner & Cutright Funeral Chapel from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Heavner & Cutright Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Carol Duffield officiating. Interment will follow in the Fraternal Cemetery in Belington. Military graveside services will be conducted by Buckhannon VFW Post 3663, the Frank B. Bartlett Post 7 American Legion and Disabled American Veterans Chapters 5 and 36. The Franklin Lodge No. 7 AF & AM will conduct Masonic graveside services. The Heavner & Cutright Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements for Kenneth M. Golden.
