Description	:	Kenneth Miller, 74, of Hazen, died in a two-vehicle crash on January 3, 2019 on Highway 31, north of New Salem. Services will be held at 11:00 AM CST on Friday, January 11, 2019 at Peace Lutheran Church, Hazen, ND, with Pastor Mark Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Peace Lutheran Cemetery, Hazen. Read More	Kenneth Miller, 74, of Hazen, died in a two-vehicle crash on January 3, 2019 on Highway 31, north of New Salem. Kenneth was born on May 4, 1944 in Hazen, to Reinhold and Minnie (Wiedrich) Miller, being the only son of seven children. Kenneth attended rural schools and Hazen High School. After graduating in 1962, he continued to work on the farm with his father. One winter, he went to California and worked at a lithoplate company in Los Angeles. In 1965, Kenneth, joined the National Guard in North Dakota serving for six years. In 1974, he bought the farm from his parents, working and managing it until 2008, when he sold it. During his farming years, he served on the Farmers Elevator Board. Kenneth was a sports enthusiast, cheering for the Hazen Bison at football games, girls and boys basketball games, and track meets. He was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers and often was dressed in Packer green and gold. He also bowled on a league team in Hazen. Kenneth is survived by six sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; two brother-in-laws, Vern Bredeson and Ron Bauer; and a nephew, Van Bredeson. In his retirement, he lived in Vancouver, Washington, for a short time, but subsequently moved back to Hazen. He loved children and was always interested in what his nieces and nephews were doing. They in turn thought the world of Uncle Kenny. He will be greatly missed by the entire family and many friends. In lieu of flowers, the family is suggesting donations in memory of Kenneth be sent to the Hazen Bison Boosters, PO Box 487, Hazen, ND, 58545 or an organization of their choice. Arrangements conducted by Barbot Funeral Home, Beulah and Hazen.
