Description	:	Kenneth Nelson Goodwin, 84, of Wickett Street, Pine Meadow, died Thursday, (February 24, 2000) at his home. He was the husband of the late Terry (Wibberley) Goodwin. Born in Nepaug, December 8, 1915, he was the son of the late Rubin J. and Edith H. (Goldbeck) Goodwin. He worked for the Fenn Manufacturing Co. in Newington as a tool & die maker for 33 years, from 1938 until 1971, after which he owned and operated the Avon Texaco Service Center from 1972 to 1977. He was the husband of the late Terry (Wibberley) Goodwin. Born in Nepaug, December 8, 1915, he was the son of the late Rubin J. and Edith H. (Goldbeck) Goodwin. He worked for the Fenn Manufacturing Co. in Newington as a tool & die maker for 33 years, from 1938 until 1971, after which he owned and operated the Avon Texaco Service Center from 1972 to 1977. He retired from the Farmington Valley Racket Club in 1991. He was a member of the North Congregational Church, serving on many committees over the years. He also belonged to the Amos Beecher Lodge No. 121, A.F.& A.M., New Hartford, the Lee Council No. 25, R.& S.M., Collinsville, Masonic Lodges and the Magnolia Chapter No. 16, Order of Eastern Star. He is survived by two sons, David N. and his wife Gloria Goodwin of Torrington; Neal F. Goodwin of Pine Meadow; a brother, Ervin Goodwin of Derby Line, VT; three grandsons, Michael C. Goodwin, Shawn P. Goodwin and Glenn J. Goodwin; a granddaughter, Lorie A. and her husband Dean Nicholson; and a great-granddaughter, Kristina M. Roarke. The John J. Shea Funeral Home in Winsted, will be handling the arrangements. There will be no calling hours. Burial will be at the Nepaug Cemetery at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
