Read More	Kenneth Pluim, 69, of Sioux Center, died Friday, June 15, at the Heart Hospital of South Dakota in Sioux Falls. A memorial service was Monday at 11 a.m. at Faith Christian Reformed Church in Sioux Center with the Rev. Bernard J. Haan officiating. Burial was at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Sioux Center. Pluim was born February 23, 1932, in Sioux Center, the son of Gerrit and Johanna (Visser) Pluim. He was raised in Sioux Center, where he graduated from high school. He married Anna Faye Jonker in Orange City on May 1, 1953. He was in construction his entire career, founding P and H Masonry in Sioux Center in 1973. From 1986 to 1991, the couple lived in California, where he was an elder at the Escondido Christian Reformed Church. He was a member of Faith Christian Reformed Church, where he served on the consistory as an elder. He was also a member of the board of directors of Unity Christian High School. He enjoyed fishing, watching his grandchildren's many activities and working with the S.O.W.E.R.S. Organization, a mission group, in many parts of the country. Survivors include his wife; four children and their spouses, Pamela Jo and Marlowe Van Ginkel of Rock Valley, Roxanne Beth and Gary Van Riessen of Kansas City, Missouri, Denise and Denny De Waard of Sioux Center and Mark and Maria Pluim of Sioux City; 19 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; a brother, Donald Pluim of Hull; and a half-sister, Cora Alofs of Grand Rapids, Michigan. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Albert and Harvey Pluim; three half-brothers, Art Pluim, Alvin Loanjers and William Willemstyn; and five half-sisters, Laura Korver, Polly Goodrick, Ruth Muehl, Becky Schaap and Clara Torwelle.
