Description	:	Kenneth (Kenny) R. Clough, 69, of Alta Vista, passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2008, at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka. Kenny was born June 4, 1938, in Lawrence, KS, to Richard and Myrtle (Farmer) Clough. He was a very active member of the Kanawaka 4H Club while attending school. He graduated from Lawrence High School in 1956. After graduating, he did the masonry work on the dorms at KU, as well as farming and ranching in the Lawrence area. Clough, 69, of Alta Vista, passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2008, at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka. Kenny was born June 4, 1938, in Lawrence, KS, to Richard and Myrtle (Farmer) Clough. He was a very active member of the Kanawaka 4H Club while attending school. He graduated from Lawrence High School in 1956. After graduating, he did the masonry work on the dorms at KU, as well as farming and ranching in the Lawrence area. He moved to Alta Vista, KS in January, 1972, where he continued to farm and ranch. He was a member of the Lone Wranglers Square Dance Club in Manhattan. He served on the Garfield Township Board and served 23 years on the Alma Soil Conversation Board, before retiring from there in January 2007. Kenny married Linda Davison on August 5, 1995, at Pleasant Ridge Christian Church. On that special day, he also gained a son and daughter. In 2006, Kenny accepted Christ, by being baptized into the church. He enjoyed growing up with his niece and nephew, he loved spending time with his family and his grandchildren were the light of his life. He also loved the outdoors, farming, and his dog, "Yeller". Kenny's family and friends referred to him as Cluffy, Fluffy Clough, Kenny Kens and Grampy. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Don and Earl Clough and sister, Alma Clough. Survivors include his wife; Linda, of the home, son; John Davison & wife Faith, of Atchison, daughter; Lorie Davison, of Alta Vista, brother; Roy Clough & wife Doris, of Lawrence, nephew; Allen Clough & wife Teresa, of Perry, niece; Nancy Patterson & husband Mike, of Eudora, 6 grandchildren; Christopher, Braven, Emma, Nicholas, Anna-Grace & Aiden, and 3 great-nephews; Jason Clough and Matthew & Dustin Patterson. Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, May 3, 2008, at the Pleasant Ridge Christian Church, with Pastors Jim Slack and Clarence Sumner officiating. Interment will follow at Moss Springs Cemetery. He will lie in state from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the Penwell-Gabel Flint Hills Chapel. Visitation will be from 6:00 – 7:30 P.M. Memorial contributions may be made to Pleasant Ridge Christian Church or Kansas Dialysis of Manhattan and may be sent to Penwell-Gabel, 137 North Union, Council Grove, KS, 66846.
