Ken was born on January 26, 1936 at Brookings, S.D. to Ben and Julia (Borstad) Lee. He graduated from Brookings High School. On June 8, 1957, Ken was united in marriage to Deanne DeBoise in Brookings, S.D. Ken worked in construction and then sales for many years. While residing in Brookings he was a proud member of the volunteer fire department and in Brandon Ken was on the building committee for Risen Savior Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Deanne, of Sioux Falls; two daughters, Michelle (Laine) Lazers, of Waupaca, WI and Terri (John) Whipkey, of Brandon, S.D.; grandchildren, Nicole (Chris) VanLaecken, of Sioux Falls, Cody Whipkey, Brandon and Abbey Lazers, of Waupaca, WI.; great-grandchildren, Brooke and Ayden VanLaecken, of Sioux Falls; his brother Robert (Cleo) Lee, of Sioux Falls; Mother-in-Law Teresa DeBoise, of Sioux Falls; sister-in-law Jeanne (Bob) Stuerman, brothers-in-law Tom (Melva) and Doug (Jeri) DeBoise, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson Shane Maher, and father-in-law William DeBoise.
