Description	:	Kenneth was born to James & Margaretha Riha. His mother died one year later and his father married Bertha Dawson in 1934. His family moved to Rapid City, SD, when he was in middle school. He and his sister had a job raking at Dinosaur Park. At the time, there was only one dinosaur. His mother died one year later and his father married Bertha Dawson in 1934. His family moved to Rapid City, SD, when he was in middle school. He and his sister had a job raking at Dinosaur Park. At the time, there was only one dinosaur. They ate their lunch in a cave at the north end of the park. The family moved to Amity, Oregon where Kenneth graduated from Amity High School in 1948. He worked in a planning mill until he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. He served 3 1/2 years at Edwards Air Force Base In California as a staff Sargent, working in finance. Kenneth then moved to Butte, where he worked on the Clarence Mohr farm. He married Marlene Bouslaugh and to this union four sons were born: James, Dale, Robert and Roger. They were members of the Lutheran Church where he was an elder. He joined the American Legion Post 51, was on the firing squad and was vice commander. The family moved north of Spencer in 1974. The joined the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Spencer, where he was an elder. He joined the American Legion Post 78, was on the firing squad and was the post adjutant for many years. He served as secretary and treasurer for the Spencer Legion. Kenneth ran the maintainer in McCully Township and Spencer Township. He did custom square bailing and custom chopped silage in the area. He loved farming and raising livestock. In 2001, Kenneth and Marlene moved into the town of Spencer. They celebrated their wedding anniversary in 2004. Kenneth enjoyed watching his sons and grandchildren participate in sports and enjoyed playing tennis with his family. He also enjoyed riding horses, water skiing, hunting, fishing, dancing and playing cards. Survivors include his sons, James (Pauletta)Riha, Robert Riha and Roger (Becky) Riha and Dale (Lorena) Riha. 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren Brother: Glenn Riha Sisters: Marjorie (Elmer) Groves, Gail (Ted) Reiman.
