He married Lois Weldon on Aug. 13, 1938, in Sigourney. She died in 1987. He then married Beatrice Cox on Feb. 17, 1992. She died in July 1994 He was co-owner of Iowa Van and Storage and was in the moving business for 40 years. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion. He is survived by a son, Kenneth M. Young of Kenwood, Calif.; a stepson Bill Cox of Ottumwa; and two sisters, Betty Gospel and Genevieve White of Ottuwma. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Sidney Young. The service will be 10:30 a m. Monday at Shrine of Memories Funeral Home, the Rev. William Flewelling of Davis Street Christian Church officiating. Burial will be in Shrine of Memories Mausoleum.
