He was preceded in death by his Parents. Kenneth William Ahlrichs was born, November 24, 1923 in Castle Grove Township, Jones County, Iowa. He was the son of William and Frieda Geyken, Ahlrichs. He received his early education in the rural schools near his home. Ken graduated from the Monticello Community Schools in 1941. Kenneth Ahlrichs and Dorothy Steen were married September 5, 1944 at St. Matthews Lutheran Church, Monticello. Ken was employed at the Monticello Expess until 1953. The couple then farmed near Scotch Grove. Ken worked also as a school bus driver and at Monticello Implement. From 1978 until 1988 Ken was employed at Smothers Equipment in Monticello. Following his retirement in 1988 Ken worked at the Monticello Feed Mill part time. He was a long time member of the Scotch Grove Coonhunters Club.
