Description	:	Kenneth W. Kolwey, 85, of East Moline and Wheatland, passed away Saturday, December 30, 2017, at Western Arizona Regional Medical Center in Bullhead City, Arizona. Visitation will be 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 6, 2018, at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Wheatland. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the American Legion in his memory. Burial will be in the Pine Hill Cemetery in Wheatland, Iowa, with Military Rites. Kenneth William Kolwey was born September 3, 1932, in Buffalo, the son of William and Helen (King) Kolwey. He was an Air Force Veteran in the Korean War. He married Elaine Flenker on January 7, 1953. Elaine died November 28, 1999. He later married Virginia. He was a farmer who enjoyed fishing and cards along with playing horseshoes and his RV. He was a former Lost Nation Legion member. He is survived by his wife, Virginia; two daughters, Karen Kolwey of Denver, CO, and Sharon (Mike) Keenan of Seminole, FL; two grandchildren, Alison and Sean Keenan; one daughter-in-law, Debra Kolwey of Platte Center, NE; one step-daughter; six step-sons; 23 step-grandchildren; and 16 great-step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Elaine, one daughter, Linda, one son, Lee Kolwey, two brothers, William and Richard Kolwey, one half brother, Duane King, and one half sister, Helen Koepp. Chapman Funeral Homes
