Zingmark was born on May 27, 1922, near Salem to Algot and Hilda (Knudson) Zingmark. He grew up in the Salem area and graduated from Salem High School in 1940. Visitation in the Kinzley Funeral Home at Salem. Zingmark was born on May 27, 1922, near Salem to Algot and Hilda (Knudson) Zingmark. He grew up in the Salem area and graduated from Salem High School in 1940. He married Velma Johnson on Feb. 14, 1946, on a farm near Brookings. They lived on the same farm in northern McCook for the next 52 years, moving into Salem in 1998. He had been employed by the Salem Farmers Union for 13 years. He was a member of Salem Lutheran Church at Center, church board, cemetery board, church choir and cantata, Salem Senior Citizens, Interlakes (Madison) Senior Citizens and Sioux Falls Moose Lodge. Survivors include his wife, Velma of Salem; four daughters, Nancy (Douglas) Langenfeld and Loretta (Kevin) Olson, both of Sioux Falls, Karen Zingmark of Mankato, Minn., and Susan (Dale) Dachtler of Tea; John of Ft. Collins, Colo., and David (Lee) of Killeen, Texas; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Loren (Phyllis) Zingmark of Madison; and a sister, Eunice Hansen of South Sioux City, Neb. He was preceded in death by his parents. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice. Madison Daily Leader 05/14/2007
