Preceding him in death were his parents, Alonzo C. and Nannie Gandy Herrington; wife, Marie Self Herrington; sister, Jewel Brister; and brothers, J.C. Herrington, Willie F. Herrington, and an infant brother. He is survived by his sons, Horace Herrington and wife, Robbie, of Grapevine, Texas, and Larry Herrington and wife, Sandra, of Florien; daughter, Betty Jo Chance and husband, Bobby, of Florien; brothers, Norman Herrington and Dalton Herrington, both of Florien; grandchildren, Janet Varnum of Stillwater,... Preceding him in death were his parents, Alonzo C. and Nannie Gandy Herrington; wife, Marie Self Herrington; sister, Jewel Brister; and brothers, J.C. Herrington, Willie F. Herrington, and an infant brother. He is survived by his sons, Horace Herrington and wife, Robbie, of Grapevine, Texas, and Larry Herrington and wife, Sandra, of Florien; daughter, Betty Jo Chance and husband, Bobby, of Florien; brothers, Norman Herrington and Dalton Herrington, both of Florien; grandchildren, Janet Varnum of Stillwater, Okla.; Karen Santiago of Kaufman, Texas; Melissa Bounds of West Monroe; and Melanie Harder of Sanford, Fla.; 11 great-grandchildren, Nani, Trey, Reid, Jewel and Ranse Santiago, Matthew Varnum, Zac and Ty Bounds, Krystal Cochran, and Jessica and Layla Harder; great-great-grandchild, Eli Cochran; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Services were held on March 29 at Pine Grove Baptist Church, Revs. Glen Flenniken, Dean Johnson and Mike Henderson officiated. Interment followed at the Florien City Cemetery. Pallbearers were David Bounds, Zac Bounds, Trey Santiago, Reid Santiago, Murl Westfall, Roy Lee Brown, Steve Mitchell and Imon Jones.
