Description	:	Kerwin Ulrickson, age 88, died Wednesday, December 26, 2007 at Covington Heights in Sioux Falls. Kerwin was born August 7, 1919 in Canton, SD to Sam and Vida (Allness) Ulrickson. He attended country school and graduated from Augustana Academy, Canton, SD in 1937. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Kerwin married Jeanette Bjorneberg March 10, 1946 at Romsdal Lutheran Church of rural Beresford. They lived and farmed on a farm south of Canton until his retirement. Kerwin married Jeanette Bjorneberg March 10, 1946 at Romsdal Lutheran Church of rural Beresford. They lived and farmed on a farm south of Canton until his retirement. He then became the Lincoln County Veteran´s Service Officer in Canton. He held this position until November of this year, when he suffered injuries from a fall. Kerwin was a life-long active member of Lands Lutheran Church. He was a member of the V.F.W. and served many years with the Color Guard. Kerwin is survived by his children, Janice (Dave) Thielman of Minneapolis, MN and John (Cheryl) of West Fargo, ND; four grandchildren, John, Sara, Jason, and Sonja; four great-grandchildren, Isabelle, Olivia, Margaux, and John; sisters, Avonelle Sogn, Beresford, SD and Anona Thorson, Canton, SD; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Jeanette; his brother, Homer; sister, Lois Morton; and infant brother. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 29, 2007 at Lands Lutheran Church of rural Hudson, SD, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Anderson Funeral Home in Canton, with family present from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
