Read More	Kevin Hein January 24, 1950 – July 31, 2021 Kevin Hein, 71, passed away on July 31, 2021 at his home in Duluth, Minnesota. He was born on January 24, 1950 in Boone, Iowa the son of Dwayne and Dolores "Rosie" Hein. Growing up he enjoyed being in 4-H and the FFA with his brothers. He showed cattle and was quite successful at the Boone County Fair. Kevin graduated in 1968 from United Community High School. He then attended Des Moines Area Community College and graduated with an Associate in Arts Degree. Kevin was married to his recent wife, Rita Deschampe in 1979. Kevin lived in Northern Minnesota where he enjoyed working in forestry. He had a passion for hunting and fishing throughout his years residing in Minnesota. Kevin later moved back to Iowa with his family and graduated from Iowa State University. He then worked for Iowa State University for several years. Kevin is survived by his mother, Dolores "Rosie" Hein; three children: Alicia Hein, Amanda Bottorf, and Adam Hein; four grandchildren; brother David Hein, as well as other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 16, 2021 at Schroeder-Stark-Welin Funeral Home, 609 7th Street, Boone, IA 50036. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 16, 2021. Interment will take place at Linwood Park Cemetery following the service.
