Adam Roberts will officiate. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery. Kevin, son of Ivan and Linda (Glaesmann) Knoblich was born July 9, 1968 at Ashley and died September 9, 2014 at Bismarck, ND. He attended Ashley High School, graduating with the class of 1986. He then joined the United States Navy on March 24, 1987 and was stationed at Sima Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Kevin was united in marriage to Carmen Porcincula on February 22, 1992 at Seattle, WA. He was a participant in Operation Desert Shield. While in the Navy, Kevin earned several medals and citations, including some of the following, National Defense Service Medal; Sea Service Deployment Ribbon (2 awards); Joint Meritorious Unit Commendation; Southwest Asia Service Medal; Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal; Battle "E" Ribbon and Navy Unit Commendation. Following his honorable discharge on February 16, 1993, they moved to Seattle where he attended ITT Technical School for two years and worked in the computer industry. In 1995 they moved to Bismarck and Kevin worked at Sykes Enterprises as a computer technician. From 2001-2007, they lived back in Seattle and he worked at Verizon in technical support. In 2007 he returned to Ashley where he worked at Fargo Assembly and later Blumhardt Manufacturing. . Kevin enjoyed hunting, fishing, video games and sci-fi movies. He loved history, especially naval history and documentaries. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. Kevin is survived by his son, Nicholas Knoblich of Bismarck; parents, Ivan and Linda of Lehr, ND; two brothers, Jonathan Knoblich of Tucson, AZ and Bryan (Rachel) Knoblich of Sioux Falls, SD; step-son, Sergio (Karis) Porcincula of Sand Point, Alaska; maternal grandmother, Ruth Glaesmann and five nephews, Ashton, Colewin, Hayden, Westin and MaKale. His maternal grandfather and paternal grandparents preceded him in death. The organist will be Steve Glaesmann and there will be special music by Terry Ulrich, Zion Lutheran Church Choir and Marvelous Grace Singers. The family prefers memorials to Zion Lutheran Church Choir. Carlsen Funeral Home of Ashley has been entrusted with arrangements.
