Description	:	Kevin Ludens, 66, died Monday, December 5, 2016, of a heart attack at his rural Chancellor home. Kevin Mead Ludens was born in Lennox, SD, on February 25, 1950, the son of Alvin and Eva (Pool) Ludens. He grew up near Lennox, SD and graduated from Lennox High School in 1968. Read More	Kevin Ludens, 66, died Monday, December 5, 2016, of a heart attack at his rural Chancellor home. Kevin Mead Ludens was born in Lennox, SD, on February 25, 1950, the son of Alvin and Eva (Pool) Ludens. He grew up near Lennox, SD and graduated from Lennox High School in 1968. In December of 1968 he married Barbara Hagemeyer in Tea, SD. Three children were born to this union. On April 23, 1994 he married Brenda Reiners in Sioux Falls. They made their home outside of Chancellor, SD. Kevin had owned and operated his own well drilling company. In 1979 he began work as a millwright for Fleischmann Barley Malting, Minneapolis, MN, until 1992. Kevin then worked as a self employed carpenter and later in maintenance for the Sanford USD Medical Center. Most recently, he worked for the Nugen Ethanol Plant, Marion, SD, retiring in January of 2016. Kevin was a member of West Prairie Lutheran Church. He enjoyed woodworking, building and repairing things. He enjoyed antique tractors. He loved the outdoors, camping, boating, water skiing with his family and loved to dance. Besides his parents, Kevin was preceded in death by and infant brother, Rodney and his step father Vern Petersen. Grateful for having shared his life are his wife Brenda; children: Misty (Rollie) Evins, Kanawha, IA, Michael (Jami) Ludens, Becker, MN, Rhiannon (Israel) Quintana, Ft. Dodge, IA, Marcus Claye, Sioux Falls and Torey (Micah) Carlson, Sioux Falls; 11 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; siblings: Allen (Paulette) Ludens, Sioux Falls, Ron (Cindy) Ludens, Crooks, Marilea (Chip) Erfman, Madison, Val (Gerry) Leisinger, Sioux Falls, Greg Ludens, Parker and Janelle (Bret) Songstad, Sioux Falls as well as other relatives and host of friends.
