| Description | : | (from ancestry.com)According to Fred Thomas - King moved with his family to Northumberland County, Pennsylvania about 1783, where he grew to manhood. In 1806 he traveled with his brother's family by flatboat down the Ohio River to settle on land in what is now Dearborn County, Indiana. He brought with him his wife and apparently two young children. They entered the mouth of the Great Miami River, and then pushed the flatboat up the Whitewater River about two miles above Harrison, where they landed.
