Lewis D. Savage. BURIAL WILL be in Pleasant Hill cemetery. Friends may call at the Estel funeral home until 9 a.m. Saturday. Mrs. O’Neal was the widow of the late Corwin O’Neal who for 30 years was the publisher of the LeGrand Reporter. She was born Kittie Maria DeLong, April 16, 1872 near Montour, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. W. DeLong. Mrs. O’Neal spent her life in Marshall and Tama counties until she went to Des Moines to make her home with her daughter in 1948. Jan. 1, 1898 she married Corwin O’Neal who died Feb. 13, 1948. Surviving are three sons and two daughters, Hugh O’Neal of Kokomo, Ind., Charles of Visto, Calif., Earl of Naperville, Ill., Mrs. Karl Benson of Falls Church, Va., and Hazel O’Neal of Des Moines. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. A brother, Dr. C. A. DeLong of Gary, Ind., and a sister, Mrs. C. S. Dunkle, Gilman, also survive. Mrs. O’Neal was a graduate of Grinnell college and a member of the Friends church at LeGrand.
